This thesis explores making as a dynamic exchange between the maker, materials, tools, and studio space. Drawing on actor-network theory, I examine how these human and non-human elements form a network of relationships that shape the creative outcome. I introduce the idea of temperament to describe how the studio itself takes on an active, responsive role in the work. Through a first-person, practice-infused approach, I show how knowledge emerges through the act of making, where thinking, doing, and reflecting happen together. The thesis invites us to see creativity not as a solitary act, but as an ongoing collaboration between the maker and the wider network of actors involved.
