The Covid 19 pandemic caused a rapid transition to virtual and hybrid events with significant huge growth in online platforms for delivering such content and proliferation in the types of virtual and hybrid events provision. During the height of the pandemic when large scale events were banned in most countries across the globe, we saw event producers creating virtual festivals, conferences and fundraisers. As the world has returned to a more ‘normal’ operating environment, many events have reverted back to face-to-face and others have chosen to remain/reinvent themselves as virtual and hybrid events.
