Mindful Consumption: The Role and Challenges of Establishing a Mindful Supply chain
With increasing focus on sustainability and the circular economy as important strategic considerations for supply chain management to meeting challenging target over the next 10 years, this research highlights the need to explore the contribution of mindful consumption practices to achieving meaningful performance improvements. It can be seen consumers are becoming more mindful and the segment of mindful consumers is also increasing (Kotler, 2021). Mindfulness consumption is contributing to increasing importance of circular economy and sustainable supply chain (Ribeiro et al., 2023). Our endeavour in this research is to unravel the role of mindful consumption in requiring and establishing mindful supply chain management. In doing so, we also highlight the barriers and challenges associated with effectively operating a mindful supply chain
