Human-Machine Collaboration in Strategy Formulation

<p dir="ltr">Artificial Intelligence (AI) is used increasingly to solve business problems (Iansiti and Lakhani 2020). The emergence of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI), tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, and DALL-E, has attracted particular attention (Brynjolfsson et al. 2023) and the next stage of GAI may be even more transformative, with an evolution from knowledge-based GAI powered tools, such as chatbots that answer questions and generate content, to GAI–enabled “agents” that use foundation models to execute complex, multistep workflows (Yee et al., 2024).</p>
