A Leximancer exploration of the mindful supply chain concept: Analysis of intersection of two research fields, mindful consumption and sustainable supply chain management.

The intention of this paper is to provide an update on the current research being undertaken at Cardiff Metropolitan University (Gupta and Mason-Jones, 2024) exploring and identifying the potential alignment and key strategic crossover between to key fields of study namely mindful consumption and sustainable supply chain management. The field of Mindful Consumption and Sustainable Supply Chain have traditionally sat within different field of research within the literature and therefore require an interdisciplinary approach to explore the current synergies between the concepts and to provide opportunities for future interconnected research that allows the development of a shared language going forward. The premise of the research is that it can be argued both concepts require the understanding and application of the other to ensure a cohesive and successful holistic approach to meet ethical and responsible business goals.
